A word game should reward looking, not waiting
Word puzzles are unusually easy to spoil. Put a coin price on the hint, an advert between levels, and a daily reward for opening the app, and the game stops being about the letters — it becomes about the schedule. Players notice, and they leave, usually around the point where the third pop-up asks for something.
Loopword has no schedule to keep. Hints cost nothing, shuffling costs nothing, no screen interrupts a level, and the app has no way of knowing whether you played yesterday. The only thing waiting for you is the ring you did not finish.
Bonus words are the clearest example: any extra word you find beyond the level's answers is rewarded, and the reward is not a currency anyone can sell you.

Each level lays a handful of letters out in a ring. Drag across them in sequence to spell a word, and if it is one of the level's answers it slots into place on the board. Clear every answer to move on — and any extra valid word you find along the way earns a bonus, so there is always more in a ring than the level strictly asks for.
Letters can be reused between words, which is why five of them hide far more than five words. Levels grow from short and gentle to long and awkward, a shuffle rearranges the ring when you need a fresh angle, and a hint is there for the word that refuses to appear.

One ring, its answers already given away, nothing scored and nothing saved. Loopword is the opposite arrangement: the words are hidden, the board is waiting to be filled, and the ring keeps giving up more than the level asked for.
